Concord Announces Recruitment for Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee

At its Feb. 14 meeting, the Concord City Council announced a recruitment for the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee to fill two vacancies for the terms ending on February 28, 2027. Applications are due by Tuesday, March 14 at 5 p.m. 

The role of the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee includes: 

  • Reviewing transportation capital projects such as roadway, pedestrian, and bicycle improvements. 
  • Providing input to staff regarding project conformity to the City’s Bicycle, Pedestrian, and Safe Routes to Transit Plan that was adopted in September 2016. 
  • Reviewing related grant applications as well as the City’s progress on Plan implementation.  
  • Providing input on programs and policies related to the implementation of the Transit Plan. 

The Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee consists of five members serving four-year terms. Members must be Concord residents and be enthusiastic about Complete Streets, cycling, and other alternative modes of transportation.
