Meteorologists say a big storm with heavy rain and high winds is still forecast for the Bay Area. Residents are urged to take precautions by preparing for potential flooding and power outages.
Sandbags are available at the City's Corp Yard, 1455 Gasoline Alley, and people who need assistance filling them (i.e. seniors and people with disabilities) can call Public Works for assistance: 925-671-3448.
In an effort to keep its employees and visitors safe, the City of Concord is closing some offices and facilities beginning at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, including:
- Civic Center offices (all administrative offices at 1950 Parkside Dr.)
- Centre Concord
- Concord Community Pool
- Concord Senior Center
- Willow Pass Center
City staff will still be available to assist residents by phone or online during business hours. Please check our Storm Response web page for contact information, emergency preparation information, and updates.
To report flooding or downed trees blocking city streets, please use our Concord Connect mobile app or call (925) 671-3448.
Reports of serious flooding, blocked roadways, and/or trees down can be made directly to Police Dispatch by either calling (925) 671-3333 or 911.
