On Tuesday, Nov. 29, the Council Committee on Housing and Economic Development (HED) will meet at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall. The agenda includes consideration of:
- an affordable housing funding request from Eden Housing, a non-profit affordable housing provider, to acquire and preserve the long-term affordability of Coral Court and Sunset Pines Apartments, thereby preventing the potential displacement of the current tenants;
- a proposed update to the City’s Affordable Housing Ordinance; and
- a discussion and recommendation regarding the allocation of $500,000 of the ARPA (American Rescue Plan Act) funds.
The meeting will take place in the Garden Conference Room, located in Wing A of City Hall, 1950 Parkside Drive. Residents can address the Committee on these items by submitting a public comment in person or via email to cityclerk@cityofconcord.org. The Council agenda, staff reports, and other documents are now available for review.
