Concord's 2023-2031 Housing Element Update is moving into the next phase, with meetings on Tuesday, Feb. 15 and Monday, Feb. 28 with the City's Housing & Economic Development (HED) Committee, the Council subcommittee acting as the advisory body for the Housing Element.
The intent of these meetings is to present staff’s preliminary analysis and seek input from the HED Committee and the public on several key “background” areas that will inform the draft Housing Element.
The Feb. 15 meeting will focus on the effectiveness of current policies and programs, housing needs for 2023-2031, and preliminary analysis of fair housing issues. The Feb. 28 meeting will focus on housing constraints and the City’s capacity for new housing units during 2023-2031.
Future public workshops and meetings will also be held for additional community input.
