In response to the national conversation about police use-of-force policies and questions about the Concord Police Department’s policies and procedures, the Concord City Council is holding a study session on Wednesday, July 15 to explore these issues.
Concord Police Chief Mark Bustillos will present information about the department’s use-of-force policies, de-escalation and anti-bias training, accountability, discipline, hiring practices, efforts to address mental health issues, and more.
This is a special meeting of the City Council, which will be conducted through the Zoom webinar platform. Members of the public are invited to provide public comment through the process outlined in our
Public Meetings web page.
The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m., and the agenda for the meeting will be posted in our
agenda center.
The meeting will be aired live on Concord TV (Comcast channel 28, Wave channel 29, and U-verse channel 99) and can be streamed live through
our website here.
