The City of Concord understands that the COVID-19 shelter-in-place order instituted by Contra Costa County in collaboration with five other Bay Area counties and the City of Berkeley may present financial challenges for local businesses. To help mitigate these challenges, the City has created the COVID-19 Business Resources page, which highlights a variety of resources that businesses can pursue during this difficult time.

Small businesses that can demonstrate substantial economic injury as a result of COVID-19 can apply for an Economic Injury Disaster Loan, a federal loan program administered by the U.S. Small Business Administration. The program offers an interest rate of 3.75 percent for small businesses and 2.75 percent for non-profit organizations, with long-term repayments up to a maximum of 30 years.

The COVID-19 Business Resources page also highlights resources from the California Labor & Workforce Development Agency (LWDA), California Division of Occupational Safety and Health (Cal/OSHA), and the Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz), among other agencies. The resources provide a comprehensive overview of available business assistance and interim guidelines to keep employees safe. The COVID-19 Business Resources page will be updated on a regular basis.

View the COVID-19 Business Resources page and follow the City of Concord on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn for business-related updates.
