UPDATE: Due to inclement weather and unsafe driving conditions, we have cancelled our holiday event in Todos Santos Plaza that was originally scheduled for Dec. 7. We are planning to reschedule it to Dec. 15. Stay tuned for details!
Join the City of Concord in welcoming the holiday season in Todos Santos Plaza with a number of traditional festivities including an official tree-lighting, horse-drawn carriage rides, the Mayor’s sing-along and a special visit from Santa.
Holiday booths open at 3 p.m. for ornament craft making, hot cocoa, delicious treats and holiday stories at Mrs. Santa’s Bookshoppe. Santa will make his grand arrival at 4 p.m. on a bright red fire truck to visit with children and hear their holiday wishes. Parents are welcome to bring a camera or opt for a professional photo available for a small fee.
On-stage entertainment begins at 5 p.m. with community and school choirs, followed by the annual Mayor’s sing-along at 6:30 p.m., and the countdown to the tree-lighting. Carriage rides will also be offered for a nominal fee, sponsored by the Todos Santos Business Association.
Additionally, a live-stream of the historic beacon lighting of the Eye of Diablo will take place in honor of Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day, also on December 7.
Free parking: Todos Santos Plaza offers free parking in two municipal garages. The Grant Street Garage entrance is on Salvio Street between Grant and Colfax streets. The Todos Santos Parking Center entrance is on Salvio Street between Galindo and Mt. Diablo streets.
