May 10th, 2022: With Contra Costa and other Bay Area counties seeing a swell in COVID cases, health officials are reiterating their STRONG RECOMMENDATION to wear masks indoors. Omicron subvariants, which are even more contagious than the original Omicron, are driving the recent increase in cases. Health officials say wearing higher-quality masks (N95/KN95 or snug-fitting surgical masks) indoors is a wise choice that will help people protect their health. Vaccines remain the best protection against severe disease and death from COVID, so we highly encourage members to stay up-to-date on vaccinations by getting boosters when eligible. We recommend that members stay home if they feel sick and get tested, especially if you have traveled recently.
