Code Enforcement Division

The City of Concord is dedicated to preserving and enhancing the quality of life in the city. The Code Enforcement Unit works towards this goal by resolving blight, public nuisance and property maintenance problems.

Associated Groups

The Code Enforcement Unit partners with the community through the implementation of Neighborhood Partnership Programs and a host of other services. The Code Enforcement Unit is also a division of the Concord Police Department

Defining the Code

There are numerous ordinances (or laws) in Concord that pertain to property maintenance. Most of these have been enacted to protect and preserve the basic character and quality of life in residential neighborhoods. They are typically designed to control accumulations of refuse, and abandoned, unregistered, or unrepairable vehicles.

STAFFING

The Code Enforcement Unit is staffed by four Code Enforcement Officers, and a Recycling Theft Prevention Specialist.

The unit is supervised by a Police Sergeant Matthew Millman.
