Public Works strives to develop and provide a variety of customer driven maintenance services and programs to protect the City’s investment of infrastructure and public facilities and ensure the health and safety of Concord’s community in the most efficient and cost effective manner.

Concord maintains a 24-hour sandbagging station at its Corporation Yard, located at 1455 Gasoline Alley, and sandbags are available and free to Concord residents. Tools and bags are provided. They are available 24/7 during the months of October through April. Updated information is provided through the Concord Sandbag Hotline: (925) 671-3383.
Residents who are unable to fill their own sandbags, such as seniors and persons with disabilities, can make arrangements by emailing Concord Public Works at public.works@cityofconcord.org.
