Diablo Creek Golf Course
The City's championship golf course is open 7 days a week. It offers a fully stocked Pro Shop, golf instruction for all ages, lighted driving range open until 9:30 pm every night and the Legends & Heroes Sports Bar & Grill. Junior Golf at Diablo Creek Golf Course
The First Tee of Contra Costa
Diablo Creek Golf Course is home to the First Tee. The First Tee is a nationally recognized junior golf organization supported by The World Golf Foundation, the United States Golf Association, PGA of America, and Ladies Professional Golf Association. It is dedicated to impacting the lives of young people by creating affordable and accessible golf facilities and teaching the positive values of the game.
Juniors ages 8 thru 17 years old can participate in an after-school class or on Saturday. There are three sessions throughout the year: Fall, Spring, and Summer. Each class is 1.5 hours and taught by certified and trained coaches and instructors of The First Tee. The after- school class is from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. and the Saturday class is from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m.
The First Tee of Contra Costa gives the teaching staff at Diablo Creek the opportunity to work with juniors year-round to increase their golf and life skills. The game of golf instills and nurtures essential values. These values are integrated into the instruction process by the coaches and instructors of the Junior Golf and The First Tee Program including: honesty, respect, courtesy, integrity, judgment, confidence, perseverance, sportsman-ship and responsibility.
Diablo Creek instructors also conduct Pee Wee Clinics for younger children ages 5 to 7 years old. Individual instruction for all juniors is available by appointment. Additionally, the teaching staff offers summer golf camps for youth ages 8 to 17 years old. Each camp goes Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. throughout the summer.
