Counselor In Training (CIT) Program

(Ages 16 and 17)
Colleges, work environments, clubs and social groups require effective leadership to succeed. Our CIT program is designed to provide valuable experience for mature teens. Through interactive trainings, open discussions, and hands-on experience CITs will have the opportunity to learn about being a camp counselor. These experiences will include a week of interactive workshops dealing with risk management, leading games, conflict management, child behavior, professionalism, etc. After completing these workshops, our CITs will depart on a two or three-night camping adventure. When they return, CITs will be placed with their own cabin group for a full week under the supervision of a Counselor and the Youth Camp Coordinator. CITs serve as role model, help mentor campers, and lead basic camp activities.

Family Camp is an experience that allows parents and children to play together in a fun and supportive environment while mingling with other families in the heart of the Sierra Mountains. This program offers an affordable Lake Tahoe getaway for the entire family and is the perfect setting for a relaxing and/or adventurous vacation.
With something of interest for every age group, your family can experience the outdoors from Camp Concord's daily calendar of events or explore the Tahoe Basin on your own. Highlights of the Family Camp schedule include campfires, hiking, crawdad fishing, canoeing, sports, rafting, and many more. If you elect to take a break from the Family Camp schedule, off-site activities such as golf, horseback riding, water sports, and bicycle trails are easily accessible.
Families are accommodated in one of our 18 rustic cabins with convenient access to restrooms, hot showers, laundry facilities, and the main lodge. All cabins have electricity and will sleep 5 to eight individuals. Families provide their own bedding and pillows, and limited wheelchair accessibility is available.
