School Resource Officers

  • Concord police officers, working on school campuses as School Resource Officers, play an important part in the City's efforts to prevent and effectively address youth violence.
  • Uniformed officers are assigned to each of the four public high schools and feeder middle schools.
  • The officer serves as a counselor, role model and law enforcer, and also patrols the immediate neighborhood and business areas to curtail youth related problems.
  • In addition, School Resource Officers are available to provide classroom presentations on youth safety issues.
