Provide fiscal management, financial reporting and internal controls that safeguard the assets of the City. Financial Operations includes three operating units: Accounts Payable, Payroll and Financial Analysis & Reporting.
Accounts Payable
Process vendor payments and prepare 1099 forms.

Payroll
Provide payroll services for City employees and ensure compliance with Federal and State tax regulations.

Financial Analysis & Reporting
Provide analysis and financial reports for all funds of the City and assist departments in achieving fiscal compliance.

Manage the City's portfolio by meeting the California Government Code and the City's adopted investment policy so that funds are available to meet expenditures while maximizing investment yield in a safe manner. Process returned checks and receivables in an expedient manner so that a greater percentage of funds are collected. Maintain assessment and bond districts according to California law by following proper accounting procedures.

Revenue Generation
Collect and process the revenues of the City including the Business License program.
