Concord’s No Child Left Inside Initiative
No Child Left Inside is an initiative launched in 2007 by Mayor Mark Peterson. The goal of the program is to motivate young people to spend more time participating in physical activities and less time watching television and playing computer games.
The mayor will lead four free Saturday activities during the year.
“I was inspired to establish the ‘No Child Left Inside’ program after reading many articles about the national increase in childhood obesity,” he said.
