Bus tours of former Concord weapons station offered

The City of Concord will be hosting "first-come, first-served" public bus tours of the Base Reuse Project at the former Concord Naval Weapons Station on two Saturdays, May 19 and July 28. The two-hour tours will give the public a chance to see where new housing, retail and office buildings are planned on the property, as well as the Mt. Diablo Creek restoration project, Tournament Sports Park, and a Regional Park.

Two tours will be conducted each Saturday at 9 a.m. and 12 noon, starting from Concord Civic Center, 1950 Parkside Dr. There is no charge for the tours.
