Appointments made to Concord advisory bodies


At its meeting on May 23, the Concord City Council made appointments to the Personnel Board, Measure Q Oversight Committee and Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee.

Personnel Board:John Parodi and Julianne Averill were appointed to the Personnel Board to four-year terms ending February 28, 2021; Keenan Ng and Eileen Bissen were appointed to two-year terms ending February 28, 2019. The Personnel Board acts in an advisory capacity to the City Council on personnel matters and meets on an as-needed basis. Measure Q Oversight Committee:Brian Freire was appointed to the Measure Q Oversight Committee to a term ending December 31, 2019 and Brandi Leidgen was affirmed as the business representative. The committee reviews the City's annual audit report which includes Measure Q tax revenue and expenditures and provides recommendations to the City Council on the use of Measure Q revenue. Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee: Sarah Allen, Jack Grant and Ana Villalobos were appointed to the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee to four-year terms ending February 28, 2021; David Pitman and Michelle Hernandez were appointed to two-year terms ending February 28, 2019.

The role of the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC) is to review transportation capital projects including roadway, pedestrian and bicycle improvements and provide input to staff on Complete Streets features and for conformity with the City's Bicycle, Pedestrian and Safe Routes to Transit Plan.
