Appointments to Concord’s Commission on Aging announced
At its meeting on May 12, the Concord City Council made appointments to the Commission on Aging.
Incumbents Bruce Dexter, Delores Leon, Esther Nicastro-Capon and Louise Sprague were reappointed for terms ending June 30, 2010. Applicants Charles W. Hester, Beverly Ann Kalmbach, Brad Macy and Don Rollins were appointed for terms ending June 30, 2009.
The members of the Commission on Aging act as a resource to identify, improve, and develop services and opportunities for senior citizens in Concord. Members also participate in the Contra Costa Advisory Council on Aging subcommittees to identify the unmet needs of senior citizens and evaluate the effectiveness of existing programs and laws. Meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month at 1:30 p.m. at the Concord Senior Center, 2727 Parkside Circle.
