A Community Conversation on Homelessness
Tuesday, November 26, 2019
November is National Homeless Awareness month. In the United States, 43.1 million Americans live below the poverty line and are forced to choose between basic necessities like purchasing food, paying rent or going to the doctor. On a typical night, 549,000 people are homeless, with 1 in 5 children living in poverty.
Help be part of the solution and join us for a Community Conversation on Homelessness on Tuesday, November 26 from 4-5:30 p.m. at the Concord Library Meeting Room. All are welcome come listen, provide feedback and help raise awareness about the issue.
Later this month, November 16-24 is National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week. For additional resources and to learn more about how you can get involved locally, visit https://hhweek.org/.
