RFP DEADLINE HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO MAY 29, 2020

Adobe today

The Don Fernando Pacheco Adobe is situated next to the 26-acre Hillcrest Park at Grant Street and Olivera Road. The Adobe is listed by the National Register of Historic Places and the California State Parks Office of Historic Preservation. The City acquired the Don Fernando Pacheco Adobe from Contra Costa County in 1979. Since that time the property has been leased to the Contra Costa Horsemen’s Association. When the lease terminated in October 2019, it created an opportunity to revitalize a City treasure.

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

The City of Concord issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) seeking qualified respondents (Respondent) to rehabilitate, adaptively reuse, and manage the Don Fernando Pacheco Adobe and its surrounding property. The offering presents a rare and unique opportunity to return a National Historic landmark to life and further revitalize the North Concord area. The City is open to a mix of public and private uses of the property.

The purpose and intent of the RFP is to award a ground lease for the project to the respondent deemed most qualified, based on the evaluation criteria contained in the RFP. A link to the RFP and agency contact information is to the right. The key dates for this offering and anticipated schedule for the selection of Respondent are below.
